OTHER PLANS
When I started planning this event, I got nervous that the Fast Company Innovation Festival was the same week. And, that I needed to drop the potential date, which fit nicely after New York Fashion Week, before the holidays, and during the UN General Assembly meetings. Then, a colleague of mine said that it was “great” to be adjacent to similar events. “Why?” I asked. “Well, it’s another reason to come to your city.”
So, with that in mind, here is a list of things to do in New York and Brooklyn next week, just in case that encourages you to sign up and join in INSPIRING INNOVATION:
The aforementioned Fast Company Innovation Festival is the 15th-18th — just leave a little early Thursday to come to our event
'Masquerade' The Phantom of the Opera immersive adaptation began on Sept 7
Arte Museum's multi-sensory experience opened on Sept 1
The Shed has 'Viola’s Room' by punchdrunk
Dua Lipa is at Madison Square Garden (17, 18, 20, 21); Eric Clapton is at MSG too (19)
Hugh Jackman is at Radio City Music Hall (19, 20)
At Citi Field, the Mets play the Padres (17, 18) and then the Nationals (18, 19, 20, 21)
I also suggest the following:
Looking at New York Magazine for restaurant recommendations and/or Eater to see what new places are opening. Food & Wine has a list too.
Going to the Comedy Cellar, if you can get tickets online or line up for standby tickets.
Signing up for multiple Broadway show lotteries for cheap-ish last minute tickets.
Just walking around Brooklyn Bridge Park or over the Brooklyn Bridge and checking out https://dumbo.nyc/events/ to see what’s happening right around the venue.
Hope to see you all in Brooklyn next week!
